/ About
twenty years of images

Art director with over 20 years in visual creation: web design, graphic design, illustration.
Nuit Américaine is the AI video studio I founded this year, after a year spent moving into generated imagery. From brief to finished film.
"Nuit américaine" is the French name for day-for-night: the cinema technique that shoots night scenes in broad daylight. The art of making a fabricated image believable.
The work starts before production. Turning a brief into art direction, laying it out as a storyboard, testing the story in pictures. Locking framing, light and rhythm before the film is made.
Everything is made with AI, under my direction: images, video, storyboard, music and sound design. Only the edit goes through a traditional tool. No shoot, no set.
The same craft serves a second field, complementary or on its own: social media content. Series of reels, adapted visuals, a world that holds from one episode to the next.
Based in La Rochelle, I work in Paris and remotely, in French and in English. From independent projects to brand campaigns.

four ways
to work together
Depending on whether you need to test an idea, deliver a film, feed your social channels or bring the tools in-house.
Test an idea before committing to production. I turn the brief into art direction and a storyboard, then into AI images and sequences that show the film: framing, light, rhythm, tone. The result is made for deciding: settling a concept, convincing internally, scoping a production.

/ Frequently asked questions
frequently asked questions
What I'm asked most often before starting an AI film. For everything else, write to me.
The crafts are the same: art direction, writing, storyboard, framing, light, editing, grading. What changes is how it's made. Here everything is generated with AI, under human art direction: images, video shots, music, sound design. Nothing is shot, which means delivering in days what a multi-location shoot would take weeks to produce. And unlike a "turnkey" app, every model and every shot is directed, then the image is finished by hand. That direction is what lets a film stand next to real footage, whether it's a brand film or a series of social content.
Every project is quoted, according to the service: a previsualisation to test an idea, a short film ready to publish, or long-term art direction. The order of magnitude stays far below a conventional advertising production, where the shoot alone runs to tens of thousands of euros: no set, no crew, no travel. The budget goes into art direction and image finishing, where the credibility of the film is decided.
From a few days for a previsualisation or a series of shots, to two or three weeks for a short film fully produced, edited and graded. Most of the time goes upstream, settling the art direction, and downstream, in editing and finishing: the generation itself is the shortest part. Long-term art direction follows the pace of your team.
Yes, provided the brand is treated as on any production. First a documented art direction, references, palette, light, image rules, and nothing is generated before it's settled. Then colour and composition are reworked shot by shot, as on a filmed piece. For a product or a sensitive detail, your existing photos and visuals serve as reference, and the AI builds on them.
No, and it's a choice: everything is produced with AI, from image to sound design, with no set and no crew. That's what keeps deadlines and budgets in check. If you already have material, product photos, existing footage, guidelines, it serves as reference to stay true to the brand. And a previsualisation can perfectly prepare a shoot you then hand to your own team or production company.
Yes. That's what the Social media content service is for: a world defined once, then spun into series of reels and visuals, per project or monthly. The Japan Culture series, twelve recipes in anime style, shows what a world held episode after episode looks like.
It doesn't replace the eye. My job is still that of an art director: AI is a production tool, not a direction. Every image, every shot, every sound is chosen, corrected, redone until it's right. For some projects a shoot remains the right answer, and I'll tell you so. For many others, AI makes it possible to see and produce a film that would never have had the budget to exist.
